Kiwitron, a leading Bologna-based company in the design of safety systems for logistics, has chosen to integrate Goboservice by Sunland Optics' Signum projectors with its own anti-collision systems, creating an innovative solution aimed at improving safety in industrial and logistics environments.

In production environments and work areas, collisions can occur between operators on the ground and forklifts or between vehicles themselves; the risk of accidents is often represented by the presence of blind curves or structural obstacles (shelves, walls, dividing panels, etc.) that drastically reduce visibility.

Goboservice intended to resolve these critical issues thanks to the combined application of technological interventions and cutting-edge installations:

* High-efficiency Signum projectors, capable of generating highly visible horizontal light signs.

* Kiwitron artificial intelligence optical sensors, designed to detect in real time the presence of people or vehicles near blind intersections or in areas of less visibility.

The pilot project was carried out in the working environments of the ILCAM Group, at the Cormons headquarters, in a context not free from "unfavorable" environmental conditions:

* Ceilings heigher than than 9 meters;

* Worn and imperfect surfaces, typical of industrial environments;

* High ambient brightness.

Despite these difficulties, the Signum projectors have demonstrated their flexibility and efficiency, with particularly brilliant, effective and high-performance results: the power and versatility of the used devices have guaranteed the projection of clear and visible images, adapting perfectly to the irregular surfaces of the floor.

The system is based on the advanced detection capacity that can monitor the surrounding area through the use of artificial intelligence sensors: as soon as a potentially dangerous situation is perceived and detected (such as the approach of a pedestrian or a forklift) the device activates the Signum projectors that visually indicate the presence of the risk through a light signal on the floor. This type of visual alert immediately warns both operators on the ground and forklift drivers, allowing them to react promptly and prevent possible collisions.

The collaboration between Kiwitron and Goboservice represents a significant step forward in the safety of warehouses and production sites and, at the same time, optimizes the operational and logistical efficiency, reducing the work downtime caused by eventual accidents.

Intelligent light signs are an indispensable tool for facing the challenges of modern logistics, which has, among its main objectives, the current and essential safety issues in the workplace.
